Yoga is especially important in the selection of muhurta and in reading the daily Panchang
When a major and long term decision is taken, classical muhurta texts advise checking not only tithi and weekday but also yoga. This brings action and time into finer harmony.
Yoga is not just a computed value. It expresses the rhythm of life and the tone of the day.
The nature of a yoga shows the direction in which the efforts of that day are likely to flow. This is why important rituals, yajnas, long term agreements and marital ceremonies give yogas a very important place.
Nitya yoga is that limb of the Panchang which defines the subtle rhythm and energy of daily life. Every yoga influences mental, social, economic and spiritual aspects in its own distinct way. When any important work is planned, it is not sufficient to look only at tithi and weekday. Taking yoga into account brings the real depth of Vedic tradition into practice.
1.Can the auspiciousness of a day be judged only from yoga
No, auspiciousness cannot be judged from yoga alone. Vara, tithi, nakshatra and karana must be considered along with yoga. Yoga is an important indicator, but it is not the only factor.
2.Are all activities forbidden during inauspicious yogas
Not all activities are forbidden. However, very delicate and life changing works such as marriage and house entry are usually postponed. Routine tasks can be done, but with care and moderation.
3.Does the yoga at birth influence personal nature
Yes, the birth yoga can affect mental tendencies, emotional reactions and the flow of events in life. It is read in combination with nakshatra, lagna and planetary placements in the birth chart.
4.Which is more important, yoga or nakshatra
Both serve different roles. Nakshatra reflects deep samskaras and mental seeds, while yoga shows the active energy and mental tone of time. For accurate analysis, both must be studied together.
5.Do works done in auspicious yogas always succeed
Auspicious yogas provide supportive conditions, but final success depends on effort, karma, planetary positions and the complete muhurta. Yoga creates a positive field, yet it is not the single deciding factor.
