Unveiling the truth about Mangal Dosha in marriage, facts, misconceptions and effective astrological solutions
During marriage matching, the term "Mangal Dosh" often causes fear and confusion. Many believe it to be detrimental to married life. However, with accurate knowledge and a balanced perspective, one finds that this dosh is not as harmful as popularly thought. This article presents a detailed discussion on the classical definition of Mangal Dosh, its various manifestations, effects and authentic methods for remedy.
Mangal Dosh occurs when Mars (Mangal) is placed in specific houses in a birth chart - namely the 1st (Lagna), 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house. Its presence may cause mental, emotional or physical imbalance in married life, especially if appropriate remedies are not undertaken.
When Mars is situated in the above-mentioned houses both in the birth chart (D1) and the moon chart (Chandra Kundali), it is called Complete Mangal Dosh. Examples include:
These configurations manifest more intense Mangal effects.
When Mars occupies a dosh-yogika house (1, 4, 7, 8, 12) in either Lagna or Chandra Kundali (but not both), it is termed Partial Mangal Dosh.
If Mars is in dosh-yogika houses only in the moon chart, it is called Chandra Mangal Dosh. This mostly affects emotional and psychological realms.
Note: The intensity of these effects depends on the degree of dosh, strength and aspect of other planets and planetary periods (dashas).
Mangal Dosh is undoubtedly a condition to be addressed but fear or excessive worry should be avoided. With proper astrological guidance, remedial measures, mental maturity and mutual understanding, Mangal Dosh can be controlled and even lead towards a successful marital life.
