The Mythological Story of Gupt Navratri
Once upon a time, when Sage Shringi was offering blessings at his ashram, a woman came to him, distressed by her husband's vices. She said, "Maharaj! I wish to perform righteous deeds and devotion but my husband is a meat-eater, gambler and irreligious. Please tell me a way to improve my life."
Sage Shringi replied, "Just as the Navratri is celebrated in Chaitra and Sharadiya to worship the nine forms of Goddess Durga, in Gupt Navratri, the ten Mahavidyas are worshiped. This sadhana is secret and concealed. If you perform the Gupt Navratri** worship with devotion, Goddess Durga will bless your life with peace and prosperity."
The woman performed the sadhana as advised by the sage. Soon, peace and prosperity returned to her life and her husband followed the path of righteousness. This story teaches that Gupt Navratri sadhana can make the impossible possible.
